13 December 2025 – “On the first day of Christmas…”
The Sun-room has been given some Christmas cheer – The tree is up!! As usual, the traditional (for us anyway), Christmas Zebra theme has arrived in force! Thsi year however there is a new addition around the foot of the tree with a USB rechargable Christmas train from Hornby! Our “Harry Potter” floating candles are adding a splash of light to the windows, just like in the adjoining Lounge.
28 May 2025 – Hanging around
The picture rail is finally in use, and in the way it was designed to! One of Leanne’s favouriote artists is Peter Smth and a selection of his works are now in place hanging from brass hooks and chains sourced from Broughtons (as usual with our brasswear). Pete Smith‘s artwork can be found exclusivly through Castle Fine Art (we personally recommend their Stamford shop – always wine and bubbles on offer when we go in!). So far she has collected “Spritz Personality”, “Corks are for Quitters”, “Bean There, Drunk That”, “Hot Mess”, “Do Stupid Things Faster” and “Mad Catter”. We’re waiting on more hooks for “Minted” to go up too 😉
