The downstairs hallway still shows traces that it was actually the kitchen in the not too distant past! This can been seen by the high sections of tile splashback and high position of the electrical sockets.

The owners who had listed the house for sale in 2012 had mostly converted the hallway away from being the house’s kitchen (although some remnants remained) when they moved the front door from the sitting room and made this room the front entryway to the house.
